P.H.A.N. Mail (Particularly Helpful And Newsworthy Mail).  Sent out weekly  via email over the weekend or a hard copy printed and sent home on Monday.  If you have an email address and you are not receiving P.H.A.N. Mail, please either call or email me with the information and you will be added.

bullet

Agendas - Students are given an agenda and will be required to write the weeks assignments every Monday morning.  All assignments, tests and school events will be written in their agenda for the week.  All assignments and tests are subject to change due to how the class is able to achieve our goal for the day.  Every effort to change the agenda will be made, however, students will know of these changes and are responsible for any work due.

bullet

Lockers - Students will be assigned a locker.  Please remember NOT to leave food overnight in the lockers.  Before a lock can be placed on a locker, I must have a copy of the key or a copy of the combination.  Students will NOT be permitted to share lockers.

bullet

Text Books - Students will be issued a math and a science book for the year.  It is HIGHLY important that each student keep up with their own books.  All lost books must be paid for in order to receive final grades and the students schedule for next school year.  The cost of a math book is $36.99 and the cost of a science book is 34.50.

bullet

Lost and Found - If a student misplaces or looses items, we will have a lost and found box in our room.  Anything left in the box on Friday will be moved to the Draper Lost and Found located in the cafeteria, on the stage.

bullet

Absent - It is the students' responsibility to see me or check the absent work line for work that was missed either due to illness or medical appointments.  All work must be completed within the time outlined in the student handbook.  According to school policy, a student will have one day for each day absent to complete absent work.  All students are required to send a note in stating the reason for the absence.  If a note is not on record, the absence will be unexcused.

bullet

Box Tops - PTA will be placing boxes in our rooms for students to deposit box tops.  They will be collecting these to help us purchase school equipment and supplies.

bullet

Lost Papers - Students who have not received a graded assignment or test, can check the "No Name" folder for any unclaimed papers.  If a student can not find an assignment, they can pick up an extra copy from the extra copy crate.  I will not be able to make additional copies, therefore, if there are no more extra copies, a student can see me to schedule a time to come in and copy the assignment from my original copy.  When it is available, I will provide links to assignments for easy access for parents to print assignments, please note, if the assignment is available and time permitting.  I will not place any assignment online until after due dates.  This is strictly for those that are in need of multiple lost copies.

bullet

Missing Assignments - Students will be responsible for checking the missing assignment posters at the back of the class for any work missing.  It is their responsibility to see to it that they complete their work and turn it in.

bullet

Snacks and Water Bottles - Students will be permitted to bring "one" small healthy snack and may have a water bottle in class.  I will allow this as long as it is done discretely and quietly.  If it becomes a problem, I will have to discontinue this.  A healthy snack may be one of the following; carrots, small baggie of dry cereal (no sugar or chocolate), peanut butter crackers, small bag of peanuts (not sweet), crackers, cheezits.  Not Allowed; chips, chocolate, cookies, anything sweet, large bags of anything (this is not a meal, but a snack).

Students will be awarded individually, by table, and by class throughout the year.  By achieving this, they can earn prizes and privileges.  Please see the classroom management page for more information concerning rewards.
