Biography

Experience:

I have worked at Dodd Elementary in the Wylie ISD since 2001.  I began as a Reading Aide.  I then became a Teacher Aide for the H.O.S.T.S. (Helping One Student To Succeed) Program for 6 years.   Currently,  I am the Computer Lab Instructor.

Curriculum Assignment

Primary Assignment: Technology Applications  K-4th

This includes, but is not limited to, Computer Basics, Keyboarding, Internet Safety, Computer Art (Paint), Office Programs (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) as well as sites reinforcing Math, Science, Social Studies and Language Arts Skills.

Parent Disclaimer

Wylie ISD has internet filters in place that block all advertisements and pop-up ads.  This filter protects the students from seeing inappropriate ads and linking out to inappropriate websites.  Unfortunately at home you most likely do not have the same filters.  I have repeatedly spoken to the students about inappropriate links and ads and told them not to click on them at home.  I hope they will stay on the games only and not click the inappropriate ads or links.  For this reason, I hope that there is a parent or guardian at home or in the room while the students are on the internet at home.  If there is anything you are concerned with please feel free to e-mail me and I will do what I can to address your concerns.
