Mrs. Tykoski's Eighth Grade Science Page

My name is Mrs. Tykoski (pronounced "Tie-kah-skee"). This is my fourteenth year of teaching.  I am originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan. I went to the University of Michigan where I majored in Physical Sciences.  I taught for ten years at various school districts in central Texas and came to Wylie High School in 2005.  I started at Cooper Junior High in 2007.

My husband is a vertebrate paleontologist (he studies dinosaurs) at the Museum of Nature and Science.  He also graduated from the University of Michigan for his undergraduate work, but did his graduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin.  We have two children, Stephen and Christine.  Stephen is in second grade at Akin Elementary.  Christine will be 1 year old in September.
