Mrs. Treat's Alpha Phonics Class| What is Alpha Phonics? It is a multi-sensory, sequential curriculum, (based on the Orton-Gillingham approach) that teaches the structure of the English language. At WylieISD we use curriculum developed for students with dyslexia by the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital. The students learn alphabet skills, decoding, fluency, phonemic awareness, comprehension strategies, language structure, cursive handwriting, and appreciation for their talents. |
