Ms. Emily Biggers Gifted & Talented Teacher/Campus Coordinator Akin, Cox, & Whitt Elementary Schools • About Me... My name is Emily Biggers. This is my seventeenth year as an educator, but it is my very first year in Wylie ISD! I grew up in Memphis, TN (home of Elvis and pork BBQ!). Upon graduation from Baylor University with a degree in Elementary Education, I moved to the metroplex and began my teaching career in Birdville ISD. I taught first, second, and third grades in the regular classroom for a total of ten years. Then, I transitioned into a new role and spent six years in Birdville as a Gifted & Talented Specialist. I am thrilled to join Wylie ISD's G/T department this year as the Gifted & Talented Teacher/Campus Coordinator at Akin, Cox, and Whitt Elementary Schools. In my spare time, I enjoy doing some freelance writing for a Christian publishing company, traveling, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. I am also currently pursuing a master's degree in Gifted and Talented Education through Hardin Simmons University. • Contact Information
