Welcome to Mrs. Borland's Webpage

Hello.  My name is Debi Borland, and I am a first grade teacher at Whitt Elementary in Wylie, Texas. This is my 25th year to teach, and I absolutely love my job. In addition to teaching in Wylie ISD, I have also taught in Garland ISD and Denton ISD. I look forward to the exciting year that I will have with my students.

I have been married to my husband, Dean, for thirty-four years. We have two grown daughters, Amy and Megan, and two beautiful granddaughters, Abby and Taylor. We also have a pet Schnauzer named Harley. I love to share with my students about my family, so; you will probably be familiar with these names by the end of the year.

I graduated from Stephen F. Austin University with a B.S. in Education, and I recently earned my Early Childhood certification.

I want my students to have every opportunity possible to be successful. I believe that if we work together that will happen.
