COURSE DESCRIPTION: Theatre Arts III, IV will focus on the more specialized aspects of theatre direction and production. Basic concepts learned in Theatre Arts I and II will be expanded and applied to production work in various theatrical styles. Students are responsible for all aspects of a one-act production each semester. Some co-curricular after-school time may be required. Prerequisite: completion of preceding Theater Arts course and Teacher Recommendation.

All stage work outside of class is credited toward membership in Troupe 2395 of the International Thespian Society.

METHOD OF EVALUATION:

A student’s grade will be based on classroom participation, completion of daily assignments, and performance and test/quiz grades. A Notebook grade is taken each six weeks.

SUPPLIES:

A 1” 3-ring binder, looseleaf paper, highlighter
