• 4th grade teacher, Akin Elementary

• I am in my third year at Akin Elementary teaching fourth grade.   Prior to teaching, I worked in insurance claims and underwriting for 16 years.  I completed by bachelor's degree at the University of Texas at Dallas and later obtained my  teaching certificate with Texas A&M Commerce.  I am so glad I made the move to teaching.  What a rewarding experience!
