While it is our goal at Wylie ISD to provide each student with the latest technology applications, Wylie ISD uses various procedures to protect our students and provide for appropriate use of technology.

First, we utilize a filter for the Internet, allowing us to block identified, inappropriate sites. This database is updated weekly.
Second, students are monitored when using the Internet for research.
Third, administrators and faculty may review files and messages to maintain system integrity and ensure that users are acting responsibly.

All students are required to have an Acceptable User Agreement on file. Without an Acceptable User Agreement students will not have access to a computer within WISD. An Acceptable User Agreement will be provided to students upon their WISD registration.
