Office Notes

When picking up your child during the school day, please remember to bring your I.D. If it will be necessary for someone who is not on your child’s contact list to pick him up during the day, please send a note to the office which includes the name of the person picking up your child, the date, and your signature.

If you need to update your child’s contact information, please send a note to the office. Include your child’s name and the updated information, and sign and date it. If you are changing your address, please bring a copy of your new gas, electric, or water bill, or the lease or contract showing the new address, to the office so we can make a copy of it for our records.

Adventure Camp is an exciting opportunity for all of our 5th graders. It will be held May 12-14, 2010.  The cost is $165. We will also need parent chaperones to attend.  In order to answer questions and to provide you with registration paperwork for your child, there will be a parent meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 5:00-6:00 pm.

On Nov. 20, we will have an alternate schedule due to our Buccaneer Bash in the morning, Buccapalooza activities in the afternoon, and a Power Team assembly in between.  Lunches will be earlier than usual.

 The Harrison Community Fall Fest will take place on Saturday, Nov. 14, at Olde City Park from 10:00-4:00.  Join us for fun and shopping.  If you are interested in sponsoring the event or renting a booth, there is still time.  Please pick up a form in the school office and return it by Nov. 6.

The Harrison PTA is sponsoring a monthly Book Drive and Exchange every 2nd Friday of the month (except December & April) during lunch time in the cafeteria.

The PTA has over 100 gently used chapter books.  Students may bring 2 gently used chapter books to exchange for 1 book or purchase books for $1 each. If you have questions, please contact Nobue Jansen at nobuejansen@hotmail.com.
