Lori is the Associate Band Director at McMillan Junior High.

She is originally from Garland, and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with High Honors from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1980.

Mrs. Bryson has 24 years of teaching experience at the beginning band level in the Denton, Alice, and Plano Independent School Districts. Her experience also includes 20 years of private lesson teaching in Alice, where many of her clarinet students earned All-Region, All-Area, and All-State recognition. She has been named to Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers and Outstanding Young Women in America.

Mrs. Bryson performed regularly with the Corpus Christi Wind Symphony for 12 years, including performances for the Texas Bandmasters Association, the Texas Music Educators Association, and a concert tour in Austria and Switzerland. She is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association and the Texas Bandmasters Association.

Mrs. Bryson is a member of First United Methodist Church in Rowlett where she is very involved in music ministries. She is married to Michael Bryson, a choir director in Allen ISD. They live in Wylie with their two sons, Chris and Daniel.
