Glacier National Park, Montana, USA
Fish Creek, Lake McDonald,  & Avalanche Lake

Glacier has been our favorite camping spot since we started our big adventures back in the Summer of 1998.  We still think it is awesome, but Kicking Horse Camp Ground in Yoho National Park has severely challenged it for the premiere spot.

This is our camp at Fish Creek from the road.  It was
great to be back there since we enjoyed it (a major
understatement) when we were here back in 1998.

This is the same camp from the creek side.  If I took one
step to my right I would have tumbled down about a 30'
hillside into the creek.

Fish Creek feeds Lake McDonald.  Since the water from
both Fish Creek and Lake McDonald are fed by snow melt...
it is very very cold.

Here is another shot of Lake McDonald.

One of our day trips was to Avalanche Lake
This is a shot of the creek that flows down
from Avalanche Lake.

Here is S. after she waded out to a
little rock in Avalanche Lake.

As we were wading several chipmunks decided to rummage
around in our shoes and backpacks.

Here are M. & S. at Avalanche Lake.

Climbing around is always a favorite pastime for the kids.

My sweetheart!!!!

The trees are a tad bit larger then we
normally see around Plano.

Here are the kids in their hiking gear.

Here they are back at creek side.

Here is a goofy shot of me.
