Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada
Athabasca Glacier, Maligne Lake, and Prince George

Jasper is much less commercial than Banff and therefore a bit more rugged.  The glaciers were huge and the wildlife was plentiful.  We also noticed that the Canadians take quite a bit of pride in their homes and little towns.  You will see evidence of this in the small park we visited in Prince George.

This is the snow coach that we took out onto the Athabasca Glacier.
There are 17 of them in the world...16 are at the glacier...and one
is in the Antarctic.

This is looking up towards the Columbia Ice Fields...which is a
frozen lake that could fit Boston proper on to it.  The glacier is only
about 4 or 5% of the total ice field.

One night...camping in Jasper...I kept
hearing an odd sound.  When I went out
the next morning I found this little mouse
had fallen into one of our five gallon buckets.
The sound I heard was him trying to jump out.

A water fall...and the little specs on the
right side are T. and the kids.
