Hyder, Alaska
Bear Glacier,  Salmon Glacier, Camp-Run-A-Muck, & Hyder

At our camp ground in Kitwanga, British Columbia many
hummingbirds summer.  At moments I could see 7 or 8
hummingbirds around this feeder.

This is Bear Glacier in British Columbia.  This glacier
is very close to the border between Canada and Alaska.
For some perspective...the section where the glacier has
calved is about three or four stories tall.

This is Salmon Glacier.  Notice what looks like dirt to the
left of the glacier...it is actually erosion that has run out on
to the glacier.

This is the upper bend of the glacier that you saw in the
previous picture.

The road out of Hyder was cleared to this point...and these
Texans get to have some fun in the snow.  This photo is
looking back towards Hyder.

This photo is looking away from Hyder...
and toward the unclear road.

Looking back towards Hyder.

This is Camp-Run-A-Muck.  We found out that the owners
moved here from Garland.

Downtown Hyder

This looks toward British Columbia.  The little building
ahead is the border crossing.
