I graduated from Stephen F. Austin State University with a BBA in Finance and Economics. After my career in Finance, which includes being certified to sell mutual funds, certified to sell personal lines insurance, and working in the mortgage banking industry, I pursued a new passion of teaching. This is my second year teaching in the Wylie Independent School District and my 11th year teaching. I have taught 7th grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Algebra II, Algebra II Honors, Geometry, and Math Models. I taught 2 years of cooperative home school classes and 7 years at Lucas Christian Academy. Last year was my first year to teach in Wylie. When I made the decision to begin teaching in public school, Wylie East High School was my first choice of schools.

I have been married to my best friend for 18 years. During our first 3 1/2 years of marriage, we lived in Alice Springs, Australia. While living in Australia, we had the opportunity to travel to several countries and I discovered new passion. I have been to over 15 countries, including seven short term mission trips to Romania and Mexico. I also enjoy seeing our boys pursue their passions. We have three amazing boys who have grown up in Wylie. They are involved in many activities including band (percussion and French horn), football, basketball, UIL competitions (spelling and number sense), Math Counts, playing guitar (and Guitar Hero!), and serving on the Children's Ministry Team at church.  We moved to Wylie from Allen in 1999 to be a part of a church plant, New Hope Christian Church. My husband and I spent many years working with the youth and leading the youth group. Not only do I love teaching, I love working with teens.
