We were making patterns of the items brought from home.

We had fun on "Apple Day".  We had apple relays, ate apple foods and did apple art.

During science we have been learning about living and non-living.  We had worms during a science experiment.  They loved it!!

At the end of our "living and non-living" unit, "the bug man" came to visit the 1st grade.  He is a friend of Mrs. Shepard, and he teaches at the high school.  He has been to many areas of the country and found some very interesting bugs.  We learned that beetles can get very big!!

During our pumpkin unit, we measured and weighed our pumpkins.  We also predicted how many seed were in each pumpkin.  Then we washed, cooked, and ate the pumpkin seeds!

We had lots of fun at the park.

We ate a Thanksgiving Feast together after learning about the Pilgrims and Indians.

We had a great time around the holidays.

We are practicing our spelling words in shaving cream!

In science, we learned about different rocks, soil and sand.  The kids really liked making sand from the rocks!

We are at the Heard Museum for a field trip.

               Very tired from our exciting day!!!!!!!

We had a very fun time passing out valentines to our friends and then ending the day with a party!!

Wow!!  What fun they had playing in the snow!!!!! 

             We gave Mrs. Tibbals a birthday card and visited with her.  She really enjoys seeing the kids!            

We had so much fun at the Dallas Arboretum!  It poured a towards the end , but we still had fun!!

We had an awesome field day.  The kids had a blast!  Getting wet was the hit of the day!
