We will begin spelling the second week of school.  I will be sending the spelling list home on Friday and the test will be on the following Friday.  We will also be doing activities throughout the week.  Many of the first six-weeks words will be review from kindergarten.  I will post the words on this page the week before.  I know as a parent, it is so handy to have the info on the web, but I also want to encourage the kids to have the responsibility of getting the list from school to home and not relying on getting it off the web!

Week of Sept 2-6:  Test on Friday, Sept. 6th:  mad, dad, had, gap, cap, I, me, a, at, the  Sent:  I had a cap.

Week of Sept. 8-12:  is, it, and, no, can, Sam, jam, ham, bag, rag  Sent:  Sam and I had fun.

Week of Sept. 15-19:  go, am, my, to, like, cab, tab, lab, red, bed  Sent:  I like my red bed.

Week of Sept. 22-26:  we, he, be, she, see, Ben, ten, pet, wet, let  Sent:  She saw Ben and his pet.

Week of Sept. 29-Oct. 3rd:  you, what, was, look, play, fin, pin, pig, fig, big Sent:  I like to look at the big pig.

Week of Oct. 6-10:  little, yes, has, went, said, sit, rip, dip, boy, toy  Sent:  The little boy has a toy.

Week of Oct. 13-17:  bee, on, us, in, do, hop, stop, frog, log, tree  Sent:  Did the frog stop on the log?

Week of Oct. 20-24: all, fun, up, dirt, her, hot, shot, stub, grub, fur  Sent:  Is it fun to play in the dirt?

Week of Oct. 27-31:  sun, run, far, shrug, drug, but, did, that, of, not  Sent:  That boy did not run far.

Week of Nov. 3-7:  zoo, come, will, get, tell, core, tore, shake, make, rake  Sent:  I will make a shake.

Week of Nov. 10-14: old, eat, from, best, fell, them, Fall, call, sell, shell  Sent:  Did the old lady eat the shell?

Week of Nov. 17-21:  car, off, him, good, for, hide, hill, pill, wide, side  Sent: Park the car on the side of the hill.
