5th grade band try-outs are coming up. If you student (5th grader) is interested in band they MUST come to the band try-outs. Dates are below: specific times to be assigned per student after they pick their elective on April 24th.
Percussion try-out night - May 7th 5:30pm-8:00pm (student must come if they want to try-out for percussion)
Instrument Selection Day - Saturday May 9th 9:00am-2:00pm.

Welcome to the Davis Marauder Band! You and your parents are now part of a great Wylie tradition
The SUCCESS of our students depends on a three-way partnership between teachers, parents, and students. The teachers will do everything they can to effectively explain, demonstrate, and instill good playing habits. We will provide every opportunity possible for students to experience SUCCESS on their instruments.
I feel strongly that parents need to be involved in the musical lives of their students if meaningful SUCCESS is to occur. Parents cannot practice FOR the students, but they can help students learn to organize their time, and support the efforts of their children in music. I appreciate the investment you have made in your student’s musical life!

Davis Marauder Band also was awarded the "Best in Class" trophy for the band performing that day!!!
Friday, April 24th
Performance times:
9:45am-10:20am
10:25am-11:00am
During school day. 2 Concerts for 5th grade students. Sandy Lake music will be played. All parents and family are invited, especially if you did not get to come out to Sandy Lake and here your kiddo.
After School Rehearsal for Spring Concert.
May 20th, 3:15-4:45pm in the Davis Gym. This is a required rehearsal for ALL 6th grade band members. One test grade will be given for attendance and participatiom.
May 21st, concert begins at 6:30pm in the Davis Gym. Students are to be seated and ready to warm-up by 6:00pm. The doors will open at 6:15pm for all parents and concert audience to enter. We will start the concert at 6:30pm. The concert should last about 45 minutes.
This concert is required for ALL 6th grade band members. Two test grades will be given for the performance and attendance. Dress is khaki pants, belt, band polo shirt tucked in.
