Welcome to the Davis Marauder Band! You and your parents are now part of a great Wylie tradition

The SUCCESS of our students depends on a three-way partnership between teachers, parents, and students.  The teachers will do everything they can to effectively explain, demonstrate, and instill good playing habits.  We will provide every opportunity possible for students to experience SUCCESS on their instruments.

I feel strongly that parents need to be involved in the musical lives of their students if meaningful SUCCESS is to occur.  Parents cannot practice FOR the students, but they can help students learn to organize their time, and support the efforts of their children in music. I appreciate the investment you have made in your student’s musical life!

Please plan to arrive 5-10 minutes early; you may wait in the cafeteria until your performance room is available.

When:  Tuesday, October 16th, required performance for students!!!     2 major grades will be given.  Times for classes to be announced later.

This is a required performance for all students, please make arrangements ahead of time. Two major test grades will be recorded for this evening:  one for attendance and one for participation/performance.  Students will not be penalized if a parent cannot attend; they are welcome to bring another adult if they wish.   Because our rooms are relatively small, they will be quite crowded.  For the safety of the instruments, we ask that no young children be brought into the classrooms.   The cafeteria will be available for siblings to stay in if you need to bring them along; however, we are unable to provide supervision for them.

There is no required uniform for the evening; students may wear their band polo shirts if they wish.
