Lori Bryson

Lori is originally from Garland, and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree with High Honors from Stephen F. Austin State University in 1980.  She holds teaching certificates in instrumental music (K-12) and elementary education (K-6). 

Mrs. Bryson has 27 years of teaching experience at the beginning band level in the Denton, Alice, Plano, and Wylie Independent School Districts.  Her experience also includes 20 years of private lesson teaching in Alice, where many of her clarinet students earned All-Region, All-Area, and All-State recognition.  She has been named to Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers and Outstanding Young Women in America. 

Mrs. Bryson performed regularly with the Corpus Christi Wind Symphony for 12 years, including performances for the Texas Bandmasters Association, the Texas Music Educators Association, and a concert tour in Austria and Switzerland.  She is an active member of the Texas Music Educators Association, and the Texas Bandmasters Association.. 

Mrs. Bryson is a member of First United Methodist Church in Rowlett, where she is very involved in the church choir, handbells, and orchestra.  She is married to Michael Bryson, a choir director in Allen ISD.  They live in Wylie with their two sons, Chris and Daniel.

Peter Jodal

Mr. Jodal is now on his 4th year of teaching, all of which have taken place at Davis Intermediate School.  He was born and raised in Plano , Texas where he attended Plano Senior High School .  Mr. Jodal received his Associate Degree from Collin County Community College in 2000 and his Bachelor of Music Education Degree from University of North Texas in 2004.

Throughout his education at the University of North Texas , he was a section leader of the “Green Brigade” marching band.  Mr. Jodal was also a member of the great Jazz program at UNT where he played lead trombone in the four O’clock Lab Band.  During his student teaching, he was placed at Robinson Middle School where he worked with established band directors Shelley VanDoren, Kimberly Hernandez, and Lynn Jackson.  He also student taught at Plano West Senior High School under the direction of James Hannah, and assisted by Art Ruangtip. 

Upon graduation Mr. Jodal accepted a permanent substitute position for the Wilson Middle School band.  He led sectionals as well as the beginner band classes for: Bassoon, Oboe, French Horn, Trumpet, Trombone, Euphonium, and Tuba.  After that position was expired he taught as a permanent substitute at Renner Middle School in Plano .

Mr Jodal has played with the CCCC jazz band at the Montreaux Jazz festival in Switzerland and on a three day Carnival Cruise.  He loves to sing and play trombone with the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.  Mr. Jodal also is the lead male vocalist in his Praise and Worship band named RAYN.  RAYN his group plays at various Christian festival include a retreat at Sky Ranch every February for his church.  Lastly, Mr. Jodal loves to play every sport known to man, especially the greatest “ICE HOCKEY”.  GO DALLAS STARS!
