A Little About Mrs.
Jennifer:
As an Executive Assistant for over
twelve years, knowing how to use and operate almost any
computer product was a must! After all, it was my
job to ensure that the CEO of the company had the very
best of everything. Yearly training classes in all
Microsoft Office products and a mindset that "picked up
on" other programs were essential to my success and to
the success of the company.
After the birth of my fourth
child, the demands of the corporate world no longer held
the same appeal to me and I made one of the most
difficult (yet rewarding) decisions of my life.....I
decided to become a stay at home mom!
As my four children have grown
(all but one is school age now), I yearned to return to
work but I knew the corporate world and the long hours
away from family were not a sacrifice I was willing to
make.
With over five years of experience
working with large groups of children (my husband is the
Children's Minister at a local church) and with my deep
love for children and a passion to see them succeed, I
knew the Wylie School District was the place for me and
teaching computer to a child allows me to work in the
two fields I love the most (computer and children).
My hope this year is that your
child will gain a working knowledge of some of the most
popular computer programs (such as the Microsoft Office
programs) and will learn that there are many more fun
adventures on the computer than just computer games.
My overall goal for your child is
that he or she will gain the computer skills needed to
succeed in intermediate school and beyond.
Elementary computer is just the stepping stone to your
child's future!
I am excited and honored to work with your child this
year and hope my love of computers spills over into the
life of your child!
Please feel free to call or email
me with any questions you may have!

Disclaimer
Wylie ISD has internet filters in place that
block all advertisements and pop-up ads
while a student is on-line at school.
This filter protects the students from
seeing inappropriate ads and linking out to
inappropriate websites. Internet safety is
a discussion we have frequently in class
however, the temptation to click on the ads
that may pop-up on the home computer is
sometimes more than a child can resist.
Therefore, please do not leave your child
unattended while he or she is accessing the
internet, even if you have given your child
permission to access what is considered a
"safe" site. There is simply no place
on the internet that is 100% safe for an
unsupervised child.
