My name is Suzy Christiana, and I will be your child’s math teacher this year. I am really looking forward to working with your child, as math is a passion of mine. I think it will be a great year for all of us!

I would like for you to feel free to contact me at any time regarding concerns or questions you may have throughout the year. I check e-mail several times during the day, and am able to respond quickly this way. I usually check voice mail at the end of the school day, and return phone calls at that time. I would like for you to be aware that I will expect each student to come to class everyday prepared with their supplies. I do not accept any work done in pen or colored pencil - standard No. 2 lead pencils only, no exceptions! If a student does not have all necessary supplies, he or she will receive a warning. I like to let you know this upfront so there will be no questions or confusion. 

I do occasionally assign homework in my class, and it is due the next school day, unless otherwise instructed.

Please be advised that every daily grade a child receives that is below a 90% can be corrected and turned back in for additional credit (does not apply to late work). It will always be due back on the school day after the assignment is returned to the child. Otherwise, the original grade will stand. This does not apply to zeros received due to not turning the work in. Any test below a 70 can be retaken, but it will be the student’s responsibility to schedule a time to see me after school to retake it.  The highest grade a child can receive on a re-taken test is a 70.
