Multiplication - single digit , please work with your child each night on the basic facts up to 12 x 12

The next three weeks (Bundle 3) will be spent entirely on multiplication. This is why it's important for the students to have knowledge of the basic facts.

We will be working with the following:

arrays - making a picture that matches a fact

fact families - we've already begun working with these

multiplication patterns with 10 and 100 - I call this the zero trick

area - the formula for area involves multiplying length x width

problem solving - word problems that will involve multiplication

ordered pairs in a table - these follow a pattern
