Hometown: Jacksonville, Arkansas
Degree: Master of Arts in Teaching from the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville (Go Hogs!)
Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education
Teaching Experience: This will be my 6th year to teach. I taught 3rd grade for three years (2 in Arkansas), and this will be my third year in Kindergarten here at Birmingham.
Personal: My husband, Brian, and I have been married for 6 years and have two little dogs, Mr. Higgins and Murphy. He is also a graduate of the U of A so we are HUGE Razorback fans!
A Few of my favorite things: Coke (large Sonic drinks are the best!), Sub-zero w/sprinkles from Shoemaker & Hardt, Hersheys with almonds, children's books from Half-Price Bookstore, teacher supplies at Mardel's, Mexican food. spending time on the lake, camping, and visiting family.
I will do my best to make this a great year for you and your child. Kindergarten is the foundation to a life time of learning, and my goal is to start each one off in a positive
direction. We will work hard this year, but we will also play hard! Please join me on this journey!
